History
This Porsche 356A “Outlaw” was first registered on 11 March 1959 in Belgium. It was imported into France in 2018, with a certificate of identification issued by Porsche France. A full “Outlaw” conversion was carried out in 2018, including the replacement of the engine and gearbox, and the fitting of a polyester body.
The car weighs around 600 kg and produces around 150 ch, giving it a much sportier character than the original.
The car is currently registered as a classic vehicle.
This example is a coupé modified in the ‘outlaw’ style. It is not a car restored to strict original specification. The original air-cooled engine block has been replaced by a modified, water-cooled 2.1-litre Volkswagen Wasserboxer.

The polyester bodywork is finished in a uniform beige colour. The bumpers have been removed. The blackened steel wheels are fitted with wider tyres at the rear. The leather bonnet straps, in racing style, complete this build.
Inside the cabin, the original spirit of the 356 has been preserved. The red upholstery, the dashboard and the door trims are in excellent condition. The wooden sports steering wheel blends perfectly with the original VDO instruments, which feature additional dials. The dashboard instruments are fully functional.
The Wasserboxer engine underwent a complete overhaul in 2018, with a focus on reliability and performance. The engine block comes from a complete Summit Racing rebuild kit. A SCAT ‘Hard-Core’ racing camshaft has been fitted.
A long-ratio 4-speed gearbox from a Beetle has been fitted. This allows the car to reach speeds of up to 200 km/h.
The clutch has been reinforced with a Kennedy Stage 1 mechanism and a 200 mm Daiken Super Street clutch disc. The extended release arm (100 mm) is by Custom Speed Parts.
Fuel delivery is handled by a twin-barrel Weber kit, imported from the United States. The ignition has been modernised with an electronic ignition system.
Lubrication has been enhanced by a 1.4-litre Scat aluminium auxiliary sump to prevent oil starvation. Oil cooling is provided by an external 72-fin radiator with a remote bypass thermostat. The oil filter is a Fram HP1 performance filter.
The raw aluminium rocker covers are by CSP, whilst the billet aluminium breather box is by EMPI.
The exhaust is a 42 mm stainless steel Side Winder kit, designed for tuned engines. It produces a lovely sound.
The handling is excellent.

Passionate about cars since childhood, Robinson loved visiting dealers to chat and admire supercars in their showrooms. At a very young age, he discovered driving on his father's knees, behind the wheel of the family 4x4 during weekend off-road outings. Once he obtained his license, he fully embraced his passion by buying, driving, and later selling models such as the Porsche 944, the 987.2 Cayman, and the 996 Carrera 4S. Attracted by CarJager's international and digital approach, he joined the team in 2022 after a few years of experience in sales. His favorite playground remains sports cars from the 1990s to 2015, and he keeps a soft spot for icons like the Ferrari 430 Scuderia, Porsche 997 GT3 RS, Aston Martin DBS… or even a beautiful Defender!
