History
Estimate: €18,000 – €23,000
The DS 23 is the most advanced version of the DS in terms of performance and cutting-edge features. Our example, delivered new in France in 1973, was already fitted with electronic fuel injection; this DS has had two owners since 2001.
The current owner, a collector, acquired it in 2022 and has carried out some maintenance work.
Condition:
Exterior: The bodywork is in good overall condition. We note a slight blister on the boot lid, though the paintwork is brilliant. The chrome and headlights look good. The alloy wheels are in fine condition.
Interior: The cabin looks very attractive; the tan imitation leather seats offer good support and are neither holey nor torn. The dashboard is well preserved, true to its original condition. The carpets and headlining are in good condition, though the fabric section of the headlining on the side has a hole in it.
Mechanics: The car runs and starts well, whether warm or cold. The engine revs up nicely and the gearbox shifts smoothly. The braking and suspension components are in good condition.
Underbody: Photos of the underbody are available on request.
Recent work: 2023 at Relais de l’Automobile de l’Esterel.
Replacement of the fuel injection pump
Replacement of filters
Replacement of the brake master cylinder
Bleeding of the hydraulic system

Note:
Any bid placed in the last 2 minutes automatically extends the auction by a further 2 minutes (anti-sniping system).
Buyers may request to view the vehicle at any time during the auction, subject to the seller’s approval.
At the close of the auction, the highest bid will be automatically accepted by the seller, provided it exceeds the reserve price. However, all bids will remain valid for 2 working days after the auction ends and may be accepted at any time during this period.
Withdrawing bids is not permitted, which means you waive your right of withdrawal for this service.
“No surprises” guarantee:
Important: The buyer may withdraw from the purchase until the car is collected from the seller, provided that the car has a major fault (failing the MOT) not specified in the advertisement. The purchase of the car is irrevocable once it has been collected from the seller.
CarJager, whilst advising sellers, relies on the information provided by them to draft the listings and cannot guarantee its accuracy. We strongly recommend that buyers ask any questions in the “contact the seller” section or view the vehicles in person before submitting a bid or an offer. By bidding or making an offer, you accept that the vehicles may have minor defects that do not justify a refund of the service fee. CarJager is not the seller of the vehicles and offers no warranty on them once the funds have been transferred to the seller.
Since 2018, CarJager has been supporting buyers and sellers of classic and sports cars, ranging from pre-war models to contemporary GTs. Our team of 30 staff, based in Aix-en-Provence and Paris, handles over 500 transactions a year, offering a unique range of services: photography and videography, valuation, transport, sourcing, financing and payment via an escrow account. Please feel free to come and meet our team at Rétromobile, Epoqu’Auto, Interclassics Brussels or Le Mans Classic to discuss your motoring projects.
