History
Mercedes-Benz unveiled the W113 at the Geneva Motor Show in 1963. Its slightly concave hardtop soon earned it the nickname ‘Pagode’. Designed by Paul Bracq, this roadster was one of the first to feature crumple zones. The 280 SL was the final iteration of the model. It was produced from 1968 to 1971, with 23,885 units built.
🇧🇪 This particular car left the factory in December 1970 and was delivered new to Belgium. It was first registered in Europe on 15 September 1971. The car features several factory options:
a floor-mounted automatic gearbox,
power steering,
a Becker Europe radio,
Frigiking air conditioning,
and its hardtop has a heated rear window.
The roadster underwent a complete restoration several years ago and is in superb overall condition. A valuation report was carried out in March 2023.
