History
This Mercedes-Benz 500 SEL W126, representing the second generation of the S-Class after the W116, was delivered new in France and has remained there ever since. Its history is clear: the first owner owned it from 1983 to 1988, the second from 1988 to 2021, and the third owner has been the current owner ever since.
This 500 SEL has a full service history and original on-board documents.

States
General state
Both aesthetically and mechanically, this 500 SEL is in excellent condition.
External state
The bodywork is remarkably well preserved, without the slightest visible deformation or damage. The paintwork, which has been partially redone, is tightly stretched and has a superb shine, as do the chrome elements throughout the vehicle. The wheels are also in perfect condition, having been restored a few years ago.
Interior state
The original grey velour upholstery looks good, despite a few minor signs of age. This Mercedes is a luxury saloon and for its time it is particularly well equipped: electric seats (even at the rear!), electric sunroof, automatic air conditioning, electric rear-view mirror, electric windows, cruise control... All this equipment is operational. There are also a good number of particularly well-preserved solid wood inserts with their varnish intact.
Mechanical state
The car's powertrain and running gear are in excellent condition. The engine works perfectly, and the automatic transmission ensures smooth gear changes. The hydraulic suspension, which contributes to the car's exceptional on-board comfort, has recently been overhauled. As a result, the car's roadholding is excellent.
Underpinnings : The car's underpinnings are sound and free from corrosion. Photos are available on request.
