History
Launched in 1976, the Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0 holds a special place in the brand’s history, bridging the gap between the legendary RS and the future SC. It inherited the 3.0-litre engine from the 911 Turbo (930) with its aluminium sump, but without the turbocharger, thus developing a robust 200 bhp.
Produced over a very short period of just two years, it is now a rare collector’s item (2,560 coupé models) prized for its lightness and lively engine character. It was also the model that introduced the widespread use of zinc for the bodywork’s anti-corrosion treatment, a revolution for the longevity of the 911s at the time.
This car was delivered new in France in May 1976. It comes with a comprehensive service history dating back to 1987, with invoices totalling over €85,000. It has undergone significant mechanical work in recent years.

General state
This vehicle is in very good overall condition.
The bodywork is in good condition. The alignment and fit are good. The brown paintwork is smooth and has a lovely sheen. There are some imperfections on the bodywork (see photos). The alloy wheels are well-preserved but would benefit from a repaint. The headlight lenses are in good condition.
Inside the cabin, the beige seats are new. They were reupholstered in 2018. The dashboard shows no defects. The headlining is taut. The steering wheel is very well preserved.
The 3.0-litre Flat-6 is a matching number engine. It starts normally and revs well. In 2018, an engine overhaul was carried out at 152,000 kilometres, involving the replacement of the pistons, valves, gears, bearings and exhaust. The clutch was also replaced in 2018 and is in very good condition. Originally fitted with a Sportomatic gearbox, it now has a 915 5-speed manual gearbox. The braking system is new. Gear changes are smooth and pleasant. The road holding is very good.
