History: Manufactured in 1956 in the United States, this Austin Healey 100 BN2 arrived in France in 2008. It is now in the care of its current owner, who acquired it in 2023. This Austin Healey is in exceptional condition: following its second restoration between 2022 and 2023, it has taken part in just one race, the Le Mans Classic. It should be noted that the vehicle comes with a comprehensive file of invoices and a photo dossier detailing every stage of the restoration – from the chassis to the final road test – and boasts exemplary traceability, attesting to the quality of the work carried out.

Condition:

Restoration: This model underwent a complete restoration between 2010 and 2011, carried out by specialist workshops. The bodywork and upholstery were entrusted to Cecil Cars Automobiles, renowned for their expertise in classic cars. The mechanical restoration was, meanwhile, carried out by Harper.
Since 2014, WG British Racing has regularly serviced this vehicle, carrying out maintenance and technical checks. Finally, in 2022 and 2023, this Austin Healey underwent further bodywork and paintwork, alongside a complete engine restoration.
Current specification: This Austin Healey 100 BN2 has been configured for competition with a racing interior featuring brand-new Tillett B6 FIA bucket seats and Sparco FIA 6-point harnesses for maximum safety. It is fitted with a Teleflex fuel gauge and a brand-new 15-inch Derrington Motolita leather steering wheel. A black-lacquered 4-point roll cage completes the build, ensuring protection and compliance for historic racing. Note that the vehicle features a Tripmaster VH Trip Classic, essential for regularity rallies.

Exterior: The bodywork has been completely rebuilt, with aluminium front and rear panels, enhanced with separation mouldings. The sills, floor panels and wheel arches are in excellent condition. It features a reconditioned period hardtop, providing a rare and authentic addition for purists. The British Racing Green paintwork has been completely repainted, with meticulous preparation and a carefully applied clear coat, resulting in a high-quality finish. The wing mirrors, alloy wheels and headlight lenses are also in perfect condition.

Interior: The cabin is in excellent condition, and the new seats offer optimal support. The interior trim, including that of the centre console, is in excellent condition, as are the carpets. Thermal insulation has been fitted to the dashboard and the driver’s side floor, enhancing driving comfort. The dashboard, matching the British Racing Green bodywork, is in very good condition and features a full set of Smiths instruments, all in perfect working order.

Mechanics: Mechanically, this Austin Healey 100 BN2 has undergone a complete overhaul of the engine and gearbox, using Denis Welch parts. It has also benefited from a complete overhaul of the running gear and braking system, ensuring optimum road holding. The gearbox operates perfectly, offering smooth gear changes, and the engine revs freely without any abnormal noise. Oil pressure is stable, both at idle and under load.

Eligibility and documentation: The vehicle has been assessed and holds a valid FIA Historic Technical Passport until 2031, making it eligible for all types of historic racing (Le Mans Classic, Tour Auto, Peter Auto Championship, etc.).
