History
Launched in 1984 to revitalise the brand's image under De Tomaso, the Maserati Spyder was designed by renowned coachbuilder Zagato, who assembled it in Milan on a shortened Biturbo chassis.
In 1987, it underwent a major evolution with the appearance of the "i" version, marking the abandonment of carburettors in favour of Weber-Marelli electronic fuel injection for greater flexibility and reliability.
This 2.0-litre version was initially intended for the Italian market to avoid heavy taxes on large-engined cars, making it a sporty car that was both responsive and tax-optimised.
With only 297 units produced between 1987 and 1988, it embodies the irresistible charm of the 1980s, combining luxurious craftsmanship with the brutality of its twin turbochargers.
🇮🇹This example originates from Italy, where it was first registered in July 1988. 🇫🇷The car arrived in France in 1994. Its current owner purchased it in 2013.

Passionate about cars from a very young age, Valentin grew up in this world thanks to his father and grandfather. As soon as he got his license, he decided to turn his passion into something concrete by importing a BMW Z3 2.0 Roadster purchased at auction in Japan—an experience that taught him the ropes of importing, registration, and sales. Drawn by the idea of combining automotive pleasure and profit, he continued with iconic models such as the BMW M3 E46 and an Alpina C1 2.3 from 1984. In November 2021, he joined CarJager to structure this activity and support the company's growth, and he is proud of how far the firm has come.
