History
The Maserati 3500 GT, launched in 1957, was the model that saved Maserati by turning it from a racing car manufacturer into a luxury Grand Touring car manufacturer
from a manufacturer of racing cars to a manufacturer of luxury Gran Turismos. Equipped with a
derived in-line six-cylinder engine, it was a great commercial success and laid the

AM109A1. This engine is an evolution of the 3.5 initially installed in this model. On this
the Lucas injection system was replaced by 3 Weber twin-barrel carburettors.
The injection system is still available and will be sold with the car. The ZF
the 5-speed ZF gearbox offers smooth, well-guided gear changes. Braking
is provided by 4-wheel discs. Roadholding is very good.
